The Albanian Ministry of Health announced today (05.11.2020) that in the last 24 hours a record daily number of 421 new cases have been recorded and 7 people have lost their lives as a result of Covid-19.
During the last 24 hours 1744 tests were performed, of which 421 citizens tested positive, bringing the total number of infections to 22,721, of which 10,482 are actively ill cases.
Also, in the last 24 hours 118 citizens have recovered, bringing the number of recovered to 11,696.
The Ministry of Health announces that the positive cases confirmed in the last 24 hours have been identified in the following municipalities: 180 cases in Tirana, 30 cases in Berat, 20 cases in Elbasan and Korça, 15 cases in Kukës, 13 cases each in Vlora and Kavaja, 12 cases in Shkodra, 11 cases in Fier and Gjirokastra, 10 cases in Librazhd and Kuçova, 8 cases in Gramsh and Puka, 7 cases each in Skrapar, Devoll, Pogradec, Mallakastër, 6 cases each in Kolonjë, Saranda, Lushnje, 4 cases in Mirdita, 3 cases in Tepelena, Lezha, 2 cases in Peqin, 1 case in Kruja and Has.
Currently in 3 Covid hospitals, 346 patients are being treated, 10 in intensive therapy of which 4 patients are intubated. Despite the efforts of doctors, in the last 24 hours, 7 citizens with Sars-Cov2 positive have lost their lives in Covid hospitals: a 58-year-old woman, a 59-year-old man, a 63-year-old man, a 78-year-old man from Tirana, a man 67 years old from Lushnja, a 70 year old man from Durrës and a 76 year old from Skrapar with concomitant diseases.
