Albanian health authorities announced today (01.04.2021) that there are 31 thousand active cases of COVID in the country, while during the last 24 hours 349 new cases have been recorded of 2899 tests performed.
Meanwhile 6 people lost their lives to the disease.
Positive cases have been identified in the following municipalities: 81 cases in Tirana, 25 cases in Shkodra, 22 cases in Korca, 15 cases in Berat, 14 cases in Durres, 13 cases in Fier, 12 cases in Gjirokastra, and fewer in other districts.
In the last 24 hours, 604 citizens have recovered, while 279 patients are being treated in hospitals, 9 of whom in intensive care.
The 6 citizens who lost the battle with COVID-19 were 2 citizens from Tirana, 2 citizens from Elbasan, 1 citizen from Durrës and 1 citizen from Kavaja, all aged 66-84 years.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection expressed its condolences to the families of the deceased and appealed to all citizens not to reduce vigilance but to implement the rules for the prevention of COVID19.
