Albanian Ministry of Health announced today (Monday, October 4, 2021) that 207 new cases have been recorded and 5 patients have lost their lives from Covid-19 during the last 24 hours.
Out of 3067 tests performed throughout the country, positive cases were as follows: 119 in Tirana, 13 in Lushnje, 11 in Durrës, 9 in Fier, 8 in Saranda, and fewer in other districts.
Despite the efforts of doctors, in the last 24 hours five citizens have lost the battle with COVID19: 3 men from Tirana aged 45 to 74 years, 1 65 years old woman from Elbasan, and 1 71 years old man from Durrës.
Currently 185 patients are receiving treatment in COVID Hospitals, of which 38 are in a more serious condition. If you suspect you may be affected by COVID19 or have any signs of illness, isolate yourself immediately and contact your GP for testing or call the National Emergency number at 127.
