The Ministry of Health and Social Protection said that in the last 24 hours (06.10.2020) 905 tests were performed, of which 158 citizens tested COVID19 positive.
Authorities added that 140 people have recovered, bringing the number of people healed in the country to 8,965 since the beginning of the epidemic.
Positive cases confirmed in the last 24 hours have been identified in the following municipalities: 98 in Tirana, 8 in Fier and Elbasan, 6 cases in Durrës and Berat, 5 cases in Tropoja, 4 cases each in Shkodra, 3 cases in Ura Vajgurore and Kuçovë , 2 cases in Kruja, Kurbin, Kavaja, Saranda, Shijak, Skrapar, 1 case each in Korça, Lezha, Rrogozhina, Gjirokastra, Malësi e Madhe.
Currently in the Infectious Diseases Hospital and “Shefqet Ndroqi” 214 patients are being treated, 15 in intensive therapy of which 3 patients are intubated.
In the last 24 hours, despite the efforts of doctors, unfortunately have lost the battle with COVID19, a 51-year-old man from Tropoja, a 74-year-old man from Peqini and an 80-year-old man from Tepelena.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection urges all citizens to be careful in enforcing the rules of hygiene, physical distancing and wearing a protective mask. Contact your family doctor or call the National Emergency number 127 if you suspect that you or a relative is affected by Covid19.
