Albanian Ministry of Health announced today (24.04.2021) that in the last 24 hours 3457 tests for Covid-19 have been performed, out of which 139 citizens tested positive.
Authorities said that 738 citizens have recovered from the disease, while currently 154 patients are being treated in COVID hospitals in Tirana and three regional hospitals, 12 of which in intensive therapy.
Despite the efforts of the medical staff, 5 citizens lost the battle with COVID-19; 2 citizens from Shkodra, 1 citizen from Durrës, 1 citizen from Kavaja, 1 citizen from Peqini, all aged 63-77 years.
The Ministry of Health expresses its condolences to the families of the deceased, and addresses the citizens not to neglect any signs of illness but to contact the family doctor for any doubt.
