The situation of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours in Albania is presented with improvements, as from about 2000 tests, only 125 citizens tested positive for the disease.
Confirmed positive cases have been identified in the following municipalities: 27 in Tirana, 16 in Fier, 9 in Shkodra, 8 in Saranda, 7 in Elbasan, 6 in Durrës, and fewer in other districts.
In the last 24 hours, 546 citizens have recovered, while 204 patients are being treated in hospitals, 12 of which in intensive therapy.
Despite the efforts of the medical staff, 4 citizens lost the battle with COVID19: 1 citizen from Tirana, 1 citizen from Gjirokastra, 1 citizen from Fier, 1 citizen from Malësi e Madhe, all aged 63-82 years.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection expresses its condolences to the families of the deceased, and addresses the citizens not to neglect any signs of illness but to contact the family doctor for any doubt.
