Ministry of Health appealed today to the citizens to apply the rules for the prevention of COVID19, while announcing that the vaccination process has continued today in the two vaccination centers in Tirana and Shkodra and in the Nursing Homes.
Regarding the situation of COVID19 in the last 24 hours, Albanian authorities said that a total of 3901 tests were performed, of which 1075 citizens resulted positive.
Confirmed positive cases were identified in Tirana, 361 cases, 84 cases in Fier, 71 in Durrës, out of 46 cases in Vlora, Librazhd, 42 in Kukës, 36 in Kruja, 35 in Kuçova, 29 in Elbasan, 28 in Saranda, 23 cases in Korça and less in other districts.
Currently, 585 patients are being treated in COVID hospitals in Tirana and in regional hospitals, 37 of which in intensive therapy.
Despite the efforts of the medical staff, 18 citizens have lost the battle with COVID19: 6 citizens from Tirana, 3 citizens from Elbasan, 2 citizens from Durrës, 2 citizens from Vlora, 1 citizen from Tropoja, 1 citizen from Prrenjas, 1 citizen from Cërriku, 1 citizen from Kuçova, 1 citizen from Mallakastra, all aged 39-84 years.
