Under high security measures, the Municipality of Durrës has closed its doors to citizens at the order of the State Health Inspectorate after two employees of the urban sector have tested positive with Covid-19.
In a statement on the official account the municipality announced that “as a result of the situation created by Covid 19, part of the municipal administration is in quarantine. We seek the understanding of citizens for the lack of service from some sectors”.
Among the 11 closed offices are the urban planning sector, the protocol sector and the mayor’s office. Even executives and employees of other sectors, frightened by the situation, have not appeared in office, reporting that they will work from home.
During the last 24 hours, Durrës registered 5 other people infected with coronavirus, who are mainly contact cases. Currently, the number of actively ill persons in Durrës is 25.
