A loss of life has been recorded, the Ministry of Health announces, along with 44 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours.
This morning, a 59-year-old Covid19 patient from Lushnja, hospitalized for 6 days in intensive care, died at the Infectious Diseases Hospital. The 59-year-old also suffered from chronic kidney disease, diabetes mellitus, anemia.
Mirela Cami, Director of the Health Care Operator, provided more details:
“In the last 24 hours, 291 tests were performed, of which 44 positive cases were confirmed, respectively, 22 in Tirana, 6 in Kruja, 4 cases in Durrës, Kamëz, Shkodër, 2 cases in Lushnje, 1 in Vlora and Elbasan.
“The confirmed cases are contacts of positive cases but also new cases that are under investigation in Shkodra, Elbasan, Vlora.
Out of 40 health personnel tested , 9 of them were positive, while 21 citizens were recovered.
