Daily coronavirus infections in Albania registered a slight decrease on Wednesday compared to the day before, as 50 people were affected in the last 24 hours.
The geographical distribution of positive cases is as follows: 12 cases in Shkodra, 11 in Tirana, 7 in Vlora, 6 in Kruja, 5 in Korça, 4 in Durrës, 2 cases in Puka and Kurbin, and 1 case in Lushnje.
During the last 24 hours, 13 citizens have been recovered, bringing the number of cured people since the beginning of the epidemic to 1077.
A loss of life was also recorded at the Infectious Diseases Hospital. A 82-year-old patient from Tirana has died as a result of COVID19.
Currently 53 patients are receiving services in the infectious disease service, 9 of them are in intensive care while 3 are intubated.
Yesterday marked the highest figure of infections with 82 cases. Meanwhile Prime Minister Rama has warned of a return to quarantine if the numbers continue to rise.
