COVID-19/ Decrease in infections in Albania, 11 losses of life in the last 24 hours

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection said today, informing about the COVID-19situation, that in the last 24 hours 2615 tests have been performed, out of which 580 citizens have tested positive.

Confirmed positive cases have been identified in the following municipalities:

185 cases in Tirana, 28 cases in Vlora, 25 cases in Lezha, 23 cases in Shkodra and Elbasan,

21 cases in Fier and Saranda, 20 cases in Durres, 19 cases in Kurbin, 18 cases in Kukes, 15 cases in Lushnje,

14 cases in Berat, 13 cases in Dibra, 11 cases in Korça, 10 cases in Kavaja, Tepelena, Skrapar,

9 cases in Mirdita and Kuçova, 8 cases in Tropoja, 7 cases in Kamza, Divjaka, 6 cases in Devoll, Mallakastër, Librazhd , Mat, Gjirokastër, Pogradec,

5 cases in Krujë, Gramsh and Vora, 4 cases in Bulqiza, 3 cases in Has and Peqin, 2 cases in Puka, Belsh, Kolonjë, Klos, and 1 case each in Ura Vajgurore, Vau i Dejës, Prrenjas , Shijak, Maliq.

In the last 24 hours 528 citizens have recovered while 382 patients are being treated in hospitals, 35 of which in intensive care.

Despite the efforts of doctors, in the last 24 hours failed to win the battle with the disease 11 citizens with Sars-Cov2: 5 citizens from Tirana, 2 citizens from Fier, 1 citizen from Lushnja, 1 citizen Vlora, 1 citizen from Durres, and 1 citizen from Peqin, all aged between 59-82.

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection expresses its condolences to the families of the deceased, while addressing the citizens not to neglect any signs of illness and to contact the family doctor to refer them for testing, continuous follow-up and reimbursement of medicines.
