COVID-19 cases increase; 182 affected and 5 losses of life in the last 24 hours

The Ministry of Health informs that 1055 tests were performed, out of which resulted positive 182 citizens with the SARS-COV2 virus.

Thankfully 90 citizens have recovered, bringing to 9675 the number of recovered since the start of the epidemic.

Positive cases in the last 24 hours were identified in the following municipalities:

61 cases in Tirana, 19 in Shkodra, 12 in Korça, 9 in Lushnje, 7 cases in Fier and Berat, 6 cases each in Durrës, Elbasan, Pogradec, 5 cases each in Lezha, Mallakastër, Gjirokastër, Prrenjas, 4 cases in Tropoja, Kuçova, 3 caseseach in Saranda, Dibër, 2 cases each in Kukës, Kavaja, Vlora, Rrogozhina, Librazhd, and 1 case each in Kruja, Fushë-Arrëz, Roskovec, Bulqiza, Skrapar.

Currently in the Infectious Diseases Hospital and “Shefqet Ndroqi” 244 patients are being treated, 13 in intensive therapy.

In the last 24 hours, despite the efforts of doctors, they have unfortunately lost the battle with COVID19, a 64-year-old man from Elbasan, a 66-year-old man from Kurbin, a 73-year-old from Korça, an 81-year-old from Shijaku and a 75-year-old from Tirana.

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection calls on all citizens and businesses to take care for the implementation of the rules of hygiene, distancing and wearing of masks.
