The number of CoVid-19 epidemic infected has reached 104 in the country as 15 new cases have been confirmed in the last 24 hours.
In her daily briefing Health Minister Ogerta Manastirliu confirmed that the map of coronavirus exposure has been expanded to include the northern centre of Shkodra, and called upon the citizens to respect social distance measures.
“In the last 24 hours alone, 15 new positive cases have been confirmed, out of 45 tests performed. The map of those affected by COVID-19 now extends to Vlora, Shkodra as well as Tirana, Durres. Along with the detected cases for which epidemiological investigation is being carried out in Lushnja, Kavaja, Fier and Rrogozhina, epidemiologists are working without interruption in tracing positive case contacts with the aim for the interruption of infection transmission.
“We have some good news in these charged days, as today 2 other patients left the infectious deceases ward, bringing to 5 the number of the recovered from the new coronavirus”, Manastirliu said.
