Albanian health authorities said today (28.20.2020) that during the last 24 hours 311 people have been infected and 6 people have died of COVID-19, after 1397 tests performed.
Thankfully 85 people have recovered who joined their families after days or months without seeing them.
Positive cases confirmed in the last 24 hours have been identified in these municipalities:
100 cases in Tirana, 66 in Fier, 32 in Durrës, 17 in Mallakastër, 14 in Vlora, 11 cases each in Lushnje and Berat, 10 cases in Pogradec, Skrapar, 8 in Roskovec, 7 in Peqin, 4 in Elbasan, 3 in Lezha, 2 cases each in Korça, Mirditë, Gjirokastër, 1 case each in Krujë, Kurbin, Devoll, Kukës, Tropojë, Librazhd, Tepelena, Divjakë, Gramsh, Maliq, Patos, Poliçan.
Currently in the Infectious Diseases Hospital and “Shefqet Ndroqi” 289 patients are being treated, 11 of which in intensive therapy.
In the last 24 hours, despite the efforts of doctors, unfortunately they lost the battle with COVID19, a 53-year-old man from Fier, a 59-year-old man and a 61-year-old woman from Prrenjas, a 61-year-old man from Korça, a 65-year-old woman from Tirana, and an 80-year-old man from Elbasan with concomitant diseases. The Ministry of Health and Social Protection expressed its condolences to the families.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection appeals to citizens to wear the mask in closed and open premises outside the home, in order to minimize the spread of infection.
