The situation of the Covid-19 epidemic in the country has deteriorated today as 36 new cases have been confirmed, of which 27 in Tirana, 4 in Shkodra, 2 in Kamza, 1 in Lezha, 1 in Lushnja and 1 in Durres.

“This situation was not unexpected due to the mass gatherings that have taken place in recent days, along with non-observance of safety rules regarding physical distance, wearing of masks and other elements of personal care and hygiene “, explains Silva Bino from the Public Health Institute.

Further on she stated:
“All citizens, all of us must be responsible that Covid-19 is not out of our country. So far, until the opening of restriction measures, we had a one-digit number of infections, which came as a result of strict measures and the sacrifice of everyone. But this does not mean that by reopening we misuse the advice and what we ourselves sacrificed so far.

“In the last 24 hours, 359 people have been tested who are suspected of Covid-19 and from which 27 cases have resulted in Tirana, 4 in Shkodra, 2 in Kamza, 1 in Durrës, 1 in Lushnje and 1 in Lezha.

“All these cases are manifestations of non-compliance with the health safety rules and I repeat, physical distancing or personal or collective responsibility in relation to employers or employees.”
