The Administrative Court ruled to leave in effect the 410.000 EUR fine that the Competition Authority gave to SGS Albania, which deals with the vehicle technical inspection.
The authority started an investigation last year, and found that the SGS had abused with their monopoly position, giving unfair conditions to the citizens by not respecting the concessionary agreement terms to increase the number of mobile tolls that would avoid long queues.
The Competition Commission fined the company with 5.7% of the annual turnover, which corresponded to 51 million ALL or 410.000 EUR.
