The Court of Appeal rejected this Thursday the order for suspending the
General Chief of Police, Haki Cako, and has returned him to his duty.
Cako’s lawyer, Maks Haxhia, declared that there were no doubts that his client’s suspension was illegal.
“The Court ruled there is no crime here”, Haxhia declared.
“Haki Cako was suspended by the Court of Tirana by request of the Prosecution, which charged him with undertaking illegal acts by omission for allowing the entrance of the spying equipment in Albania.
The Chief of Operational Forces, Artjon Duka, and Entiol Xhelilaj, are still in house arrest.
