Shkelqim Miri, Judge of the Court of Appeal was arrested by order of the Prosecution for corruption.
Police seized 174.000 EUR at his house, 10 million ALL and 1000 USD.
Investigations for Miri had started in January 2017, after receiving information that the Albanian Courts were releasing Gentian Doda, accused of urder and extradited from the USA five years ago.
Sources explained for Top Channel that four other citizens were also involved in this corruptive affair, even a relative of Doda, who operated as his inter-mediator.
Miri has a 25-year-long career in justice, from the First Instance Court, to Court of Appeal in Durres, High Council of Justice Member, and Judge of Appeal in Tirana.
