Court leaves Shaban Norja in prison

The Court left in prison the 80-year-old that killed Aishe Vata,
although the defending lawyer had asked for a lighter measure based on
his old age and the good name of the family.
The Durres Court held the session for the security measure against Shaban Norja, who killed and beheaded the 18-year-old Aishe Vata in Xhafzotaj, Durres, on October 11th.
Norja declared from the bench that he didn’t want to kill her and that he had been having close relations with the girl, which had asked him for three or four days to cut her head off, since her religion didn’t allow abortion.
Surprising was his argument for not committing suicide, and also about the fatherhood of the fetus that was inside Aishe’s body. Judge Fejzo Hysi ruled that the 80-year-old should stay in prison until trial.
Prosecutor Sokol Nishani declared that the scientific evidence are enough for proving that Shaban Norja had killed the girl.
