For more than 90 minutes, the former socialist MP Alqi Bllako stood today in front of the court that assessed as right the request of the ‘SPAK’prosecutor Dritan Prençi, to leave him in detention.
After the arrest of former minister Lefter Koka, now his former subordinate Alqi Bllako will stay in detention, awaiting the trial.
His lawyer called the court’s decision unfair, giving the following argument: The three criminal facts identified by the procedural body of the investigation, related to the expropriation of land, are acts produced not by Alqi Bllako.
According to him, Bllako, in his capacity of general secretary, has forwarded only the documentation due to the acts issued by the council of ministers.
The former general secretary of the ministry of environment, and recently former socialist MP Alqi Bllako, brings to 11 the number of officials accused or arrested so far, for abuse of office and corruption with the incinerators of Elbasan and Fier.
