The leaders of Kosovo political parties are meeting this Friday with the
President of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga, who will discuss about the
creation of a Special Court.
According to the RTK, the dialogue will focus on the court and the alleged crimes of the KLA, together with the mandate of the EULEX mission.
Arber Vllahiu, adviser of President Jahjaga, declared that the presidency has sent the invitation to all party leaders.
“We have sent invitations to all party leaders with whom the President will discuss this document that will be later sent to Brussels”, Vllahiu declared.
According to Vllahiu, the letter has three elements: the transformation of the EULEX, the creation of the court and other issues regarding the rule of law and justice in Kosovo.
The participation was confirmed by the Self-Determination Movement leader, who opposes the creation of this court more than anyone else.
The approval for the creation of the Special Court has been requested by the international factor, including the European Union and the United States of America, who argue that its processes would remove all dilemmas for the supposed crimes of the KLA, mentioned by the Swiss senator, Dick Marty.
However, Prishtina doesn’t have too much choice, since the UN Security Council might impose it in their requests.
