One of the problems raised during the meeting for the annual work
analyze of the Court of Tirana, was the lack of premises and court
rooms, which, according to the Court’s President, Fatri Islami, has
affected the delays of trials.
This request was considered by the Minister of Justice as a debt that the Albanian politics has to the judiciary, as the judiciary has debts to the Albanian citizens. For this he reminded them of the many complaints received by the citizens.
“It’s an undeniable fact that the online portal has enabled a new way of communication with the citizens and their concerns. Their complaints come as results of irresponsible actions by the administration and also by some citizens. We had 700 complaints on our portal, mainly against the judiciary, the property registration office, notaries, etc”, Naco declared.
The Minister of Justice reminded that it is very important respecting some legal dispositions for maintaining, preserving and archiving the trial procedures with audio instruments, in order to respect the judiciary ethics and transparency of the public. Unfortunately, the lack of transparency has decreased the citizens’ trust on the Court’s justice, according to the Court’s President.
Islami says that the archiving of cases is not effective in this court, due to the lack of spaces in their building.
