The Tirana Civil Court has seized the assets and bank accounts of CEZ
Distribution, with a total value of 2 million EUR. The security measure
was placed on the condition that the plaintiff, the Romanina “SC AEM”
Company, files a lawsuit within 15 days for reviewing the case.
The purpose of this lawsuit, according to the documents owned by TCH, is a security measure that will block 2 million EUR of CEZ assets.
According to the court, the plaintiff has supplied CEZ on 4 August 2011 with energy meters that mount up to 2.531.302 EUR.
The company claims that CEZ has not paid for the supply. CEZ admits that they haven’t paid the obligation, but they say that the frozen bank accounts will hamper the energy supply in Albania.
The Court states that CEZ has assets that can be seized, hence they ruled in favor of the plaintiff.
The court says that the conservative seizing will be set for 2 million EUR of bank accounts, which allows a normal operation.
