A couple of senior citizens has died today in a car accident near the Korce-Pogradec road.
The accident took place near the Lumalas village. The couple, who have not been identified yet, have been ran over by a vehicle the moment they were coming out of a van.
The crash was hard and they both died on the spot.
Police arrived on the scene and took under custody Mefail Myrtollari, the driver of the vehicle that ran over the couple.
Preliminary investigations show that Myrtollari has violated traffic rules of excessive spped in this part of the road.
