Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future For the 92nd anniversary of Tirana’s declaration as Capital of Albania,
and the 100th anniversary of independence, the Socialist Councilors of
the Tirana Municipal Council appealed the citizens to raise flags in
their residences.
In an exhibition that displayed the photos of the most well-known figures of those who contributed for Tirana, the Councilors thanked the Rreli family, who made this exhibition possible.
“Since the day of Tirana’s establishment as capital coincides with the 100th anniversary of independence, we will give to the Rreli family our national flag as a symbol, for giving a message to all Albanian citizens and to those of Tirana, so that they can raise this flag in their residences for respecting the history, the contribution and our common future in the EU”, declared SP Councilor Aldin Dalipi.
Adem Rreli valued this act of gratitude by asking the citizens to consider as a model teh figures that were displayed in this exhibition.
“I think that we must have these as a model for the future. We should consider them as heirs of people who built Tirana. All Tirana citizens must think and behave as them”, Rreli declared.
The SP councilors then watched the 195 photos with the Tirana families and those who contributed for Tirana.
