Cosmetic dangers

The Central Technical Inspectorate checked some of the cosmetic goods that are used by young and adult women. The results showed that these products have substances that damage the human skin, and they could even cause cancer.

The CTI is unable to check all products that enter the Albanian market and that are used even by the youngest girls, when they play with their dolls.

Lipsticks are widely used and some of them have caused skin dermatitis, but inspection in all markets is almost mission impossible for the Central Technical Inspectorate, sinc they don’t have a competent structure, there are legal gaps and the labs don’t own all necessary appliances for examining these products.

According to the experts there are also legal problems for inspecting and eliminating these products. Experts confirm that the legal side of this procedure is an urgent problem. They need a law that determines the funds needed for buying samples, the way how the harmful goods will be withdrawn from the market, how will they be transported and where they will be eliminated.
