Corruption with government debts

The Socialist MP, Erjon Brace, accused the government of opening way to a
great corruptive scandal that is related with giving the right to some
private companies to collect debts in the energy sector.

“On 29 February 2012, the government was obliged to issue a Council of Ministers decision to approve an agreement between CEZ and other institutions to zero the debts, and it has not been made public. Do you know what did this agreement have? After finding the bad loan market of 70 million USD annually, after the government decision, three companies were created one after another”, Brace declared.

Brace declared that this is a scheme that favors the businesses that are close to the government.

“The three companies are related with Balfin Group, the famous Zamir that is present in every inauguration of the Prime Ministers, and his private businesses and favors derive exactly from this government decision”, Brace declared.

The energy sector is plunged in a series of unpaid debts that reach millions of dollars.

“Do you know the norms for collecting this debt? From 13% to 20% of the bills for the consumers that haven’t paid and when their electricity is cut. 20% of the 70 million USD from the bad loan market, 14 millions of USD that will enter the pockets of those who have ties with the government”, Brace declared.
