Corporal Peci sent to German hospital

The Albanian Commando, Alexander Peci, who was seriously injured in a
Kandahar village, Afghanistan, was sent for a more specialized treatment
in a German hospital.

According to the latest information, Peci was sent to the Landstuhl hospital, Germany, accompanied by a team of doctors.

The Ministry of Defense informed
this Wednesday about his improved health conditions.

The Ministry explained that corporal Peci was initially sent to a Bagram Air Base hospital, Kabul, which is specialized for difficult interventions.

The Albanian soldier underwent a surgery that was successful and now he is out of life danger.

The Ministry of Defense declared that they are still waiting for the body of Captain Feti Vogli, who was killed during the attack. The Ministry cannot accurately determine when his body will arrive, to be buried in the Martyr’s Cemetery.

Captain Peci received the “Nation’s Martyr” title and the Golden Eagle Medal, given by the President of the Republic.
