Today’s session at the Parliamentary Investigation Commission for the
transfers and recruitments at the police continued with strong debates
after the opposition Parliament Members published a phone conversation,
saying it was sent from the Prime Minister to Minister Tahiri.
This made the majority Parliament Members accuse the opposition of spying the cell phones of high rank officials.
Flamur Noka: This SMS that I will read today was senjt a few days from the Prime Minister to you. “The number of murders in 2014 has doubled compared to one year ago. All other positive indicators have been reduced, and this is sad for me and for the Albanian citizens. I hope this is not just a statistical indicator for you. This is not what you promised me, and not what we promised to the citizens. This appeal has been repeated to you, due to the job that you have and out of human good will. But this limit cannot be crossed with scandalous fatal negligence. This is why I think that the problem is you, not your dependants. Even if they are incapable, I have no time or desire to speak about them. I will speak about you. The trust that I gave you, the duty and expectancy of the public do not deserve this. We will talk more tomorrow about this, but sleep less and think about what you have done wrong and what you will do to repair things”. To tell you the truth, this is the first time I agree with the Prime Minister.
Saimir Tahiri: I believe that this is why the State Police had fallen to this level. Because they spent their time with messages…
Blendi Klosi: Mr.Noka, you want the Minister to admit whether he received this message from the Prime Minister. We must intervene. We cannot allow the phone conversations of the Prime Minister with the Minister of Interior to be spied. Admitting that you have information about the communication between the Prime Minister and the Minister, this is a severe violation and requires a deeper investigation.
Saimir Tahiri: It is not a problem for me to answer to the questions of this Commission. I am telling you that I am proud about my collaborators and about the State Police.
