The Constitutional Court declared two days ago that they are not the
competent institution to review a request of the Democratic Party, which
opposed the procedure followed by the Commission of Laws for inspecting
the work of the High Inspectorate of Declaration and Audit of Assets
Director, Zana Xhuka.

The majority, with the vote against of the Democratic Party, decided three months ago at the Commission of Laws to establish an inspection group for verifying the complaints of some employees in this institution against Mrs.Xhuka.

The Constitutional Court, according to confidential sources, declared two days ago that this matter is not under our competency, but under that of the Administrative Court. However, the arguments for this decision will be published by this court in the days to come.

The Constitutional Court will have other lawsuits regarding the High Inspectorate of Declaration and Audit of Assets. The Democratic Party will file a complaint against the majority, for lack of lawfulness in the discharging procedure of Mrs.Xhuka.

The other complaint will be filed by the Albanian President, who will complain about the competence that the Parliament will take for the appointment of the new High Inspectorate of Declaration and Audit of Assets leader, Shkelqim Gani.
