Constitutional Court rejects demand for removing MP Leskaj’s mandate
08/06/2016 00:00
The Constitutional Court ruled that the request for removing the
Parliamentary mandate of MP Valentina Leskaj does not fulfill all
conditions to put things in motion.
The Socialist Party MP, Valentina Leskaj, also vice Parliament Speaker, addressed with a letter to the Parliament Speaker, asking her mandate to be reviewed by the Constitutional Court.
This request was made after the opposition demanded her mandate to be removed, claiming conflict of interest since one of her sons has received a government contract for his company.
