Berisha declared that this is the most modern and transparent method that removes any doubt for the honesty of the process, and that ranks Albania among the first countries that digitalize the concession procedures, after the electronic procurements.

“Anyone can read all offers ad winners on the Public Procurements Agency web page, and also the conditions in which they won”, Berisha declared.

The government has given concessionary permits for 320 hydropower plants, that according to Prime Minister Berisha generate 100.000 new jobs, with a 3 billion USD investment. Berisha answered to the opposition leader declaration, who said that the Socialist Party will cancel all corruptive concessions after coming to power.

 “Declaring that you will cancel the construction of 320 hydropower plants means collecting all negative powers of the nature and unleashing them against your own country, by blocking a vital process in which all assets are turned into values. With these practices, those who act against the development of this country will never be able to come to power”, Berisha declared.

Government: No waste to be imported without customs code

Prime Minister Berisha asked the government to stop the import of any item that has no customs code, even if it is included in the green waste list that allows imports for the recycling industry.

After discussing the decision “For the authorization of the Ama Recycling Company for the import of aluminum and copper wastes for recycling purposes”, the Prime Minister emphasized that a series of items were found without a Customs code.

 For this reason, the Prime Minister asked the Minister of Finances and the Minister of Environment to reach a memorandum for all actions that the Customs must take, in order to bring these wastes inside the country.

The Prime Minister stated that the government must stop any kind of import of these products when they have no customs code, regardless their position in the green list,
