Fuel supply for airplanes at the Rinas airport is another market under
investigation by the Competition Authority, which suspects that the
company that has the monopoly closes the market intentionally, in order
to raise costs for passengers.
“There are several elements that make this product more specific. However, the market should be open. To shed light on this, the Authority has started an investigation”, said Lindita Lati, head of the Competition Authority.
The investigations are expected to be concluded after two or three months.
