Commission of Mandates gathers for the “Kokedhima” case

The Commission of Mandates gathered this Tuesday to review the mandate of MP Koco Kokedhima.

The Democratic Party MP, Eduart Halimi, quoted the Constitution that “only the Constitutional Court can evaluate and remove any competence from the Parliament” for such cases.

“This case is exclusively a competence of the Constitutional Court, and this Court has found that the majority has made an abuse when they hid these MPs from justice”, Halimi said.

He underlined that the Parliament has no more options to defend the MP when 1/5th of the members verify an infringement of the mandate.
