The Electoral
College accepted to administer the evidence presented by the opposition
regarding the inconsistencies between the numbers of ballots with the
number of votes. Together with the request for turning the case to the
Central Election Commission, the opposition asked the invalidation of
the electoral process, while the verdict will be given tomorrow at
10:00.

Socialist MP Damian Gjiknuri, while speaking in front of the judge panel that was consisted of judges Sashenka Jonuzi, Meriban Mullai, Marie Qiriazi, Dhurata Haveri and Astrit Kalaja, argued that CEC did not have any more moral competence to give its say on this case, after refusing to review it beforehands.

According to him, to the Socialist Party was denied the right of appeal. Lawyer Eridian Salianji declared that CEC did not fix the inconsistencies, but deepened the offence. He illustrated with big slides the alleged manipulation scheme, slides that SP had prepared after inspecting the video footages of the vote counting centers.

After SP presented its case, DP lawyer Ivi Kaso objected by asking if the Socialists were still standing to their pretence for returning the case to CEC. Damian Gjiknuri answered that the Socialists were still standing to that request, but the Court was the one to give he answer.

CEC representative, Deshira Pasko, noted that the pretenses of the plaintiff were not object of the appeal. DP lawyer called as grotesque the pretenses of the Socialist Party. However, the Electoral College decided to administer as evidence even the slides that were presented by the Socialist Party for proving the manipulation. This way, the College leaves an open way to the possibility of taking in consideration the core of the case. Now there are three possibilities remaining: 1) the Electoral College will declare the invalidation of the elections, 2) College will oblige CEC to review the appeal, which will eventually end up at the Electoral College again, after CEC will obviously reject it, and 3) the Electoral College will suspend the case by rejecting the appeal and by leaving in act the current tabulation that shows Lulzim Basha as winner with 93 votes ahead.
