Cold weather in Bulqize and Korce

The temperatures have fallen under 10 degrees Celsius in the recent 24 hours, followed with snow.
There have been difficulties in the mountainous areas 700 meters above the sea level, where snow has been thicker and with bigger problems in the communes of Ostren, Klenj, Trebisht and Martanesh. There have also been problems in the Bulqize-Peshkopi and Bulqize-Klos roads, due to ice.
The Road Directory has managed the situation with salt, while the Traffic Police has not allowed vehicles to move without tire chains.
Meanwhile, some Korce villages are still isolated, leaving the residents without food and other vital supplies.
According to the residents, the only problem is the lack of infrastructure and roads, which do not allow the snow to be cleaned.
50 families have been cut off, while the children have been obliged to walk to schools on foot, the classrooms of which are even colder.
