The Ministry of Environment has started an action for cleaning the river
beds, where pollution has turned into a great concern for all their
length.
The first operation started in the area between the two bridges of Shijak, in the Erzen River, with the participation of employees from the Environment Ministry, the Public Service Directory, other directories and around 150 young participants.
The Minister of Environment, Lefter Koka, underlined that the Erzen River has been damaged by waste materials that have been thrown irresponsibly.
The Riverbeds are full of waste materials, and since there are no landfills, municipalities and communes around throw their wastes at rivers, which then pollute the entire valley.
