The Minister of Tourism, Aldo Bumci, declared that the country is facing an unacceptable situation that requires an emergent measure plan for the creation of defensive pollution mechanism.

“We are facing an unacceptable situation, as regards the environment and waste management, but this situation was the same one year ago. What has changed in this year is our awareness. Our social structures are more aware, with the help of the media, for this problem that has always been frequent, which now seems more intense. The problem has the same proportions as before, and the environment conditions have even improved, but our awareness and sensitivity makes it the right moment to join the citizens’ forces with the government”, the Minister declared.

Bumci than mentioned the situation of the national road, which have increased the environmental pollution. He accused the local leaders and warned them for administrative measures if wastes will not be administered in their territory.

The Ishem and Lana rivers are among the most polluted areas, which have also caused the death of people who had tried to collect plastic bottles along the riverbed.

The environment expert, Sazan Guri, declared that the situation in the coastline is very serious, due to the lack of waste management.
