Clashes for village’s reservoir

The residents of the Terbac village, in Gracen, Elbasan, protested in
front of the Elbasan prefecture against some persons who have destroyed the
reservoir that the village uses for irrigation.
Some days ago, the residents asked help from the local administration, but received no answer.
A representative group from the residents met the Prefect Shefqet Deliallisi for their problem, but they were attacked while leaving the building and one person has remained injured.
The clash was recorded by Top Channel’s cameras. The person who attacked and offended the villagers is accused of having destroyed the reservoir. His name is Besnik Basha, 33 years old, who now faces a criminal charge.
According to the residents, he is trying to turn the reservoir into an agricultural land, pretending that it belongs to him. The residents are asking the reservoir to be repaired, since their life is maintained from agriculture and the area has no other ways of irrigation.
