Betting shops and casinos will be closed after this December 31st.
This is the law that was announced today by the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama.
Thousands of betting shops throughout the country, especially in the capital, will be closed or move to other locations in order to respect the distance between each other, as provided by law.
They are also no longer allowed to pay ads for their business activities.
These measures were taken due to a large number of social issues that many Albanian families are going through due to these costly addictions.
Many citizens interviewed by Top Channel support the new law and think it should have been implemented earlier.
