Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future Common citizens, intellectuals and civil society representatives
protested in the Skenderbej square against the social problems that
everyone is facing today.
The main concern was about insecurity of food products.
“The citizens don’t know what they are eating, what they are drinking, what they are breathing. We need transparency from the government. We need to know the pollution of our meat, milk and vegetables”, declared Sazan Guri, representative of the Civil Society.
Another problem was the life security as result of the increased crime and the energy bills.
“We get robbed from all sides. Bus tickets are sold with a more expensive price. We are being attacked from all sides and we need our voice to be heard. The leading structures of what has remained from CEZ should explain why I was robbed of 25.000 through my electricity bill”, declared another representative of the Civil Society, Erjon Kristo.
Representatives of the Civil Society invited citizens in a meeting in front of the Energy Regulation Entity, this Monday at 10:00.
