Central and Southeastern Europe leaders and the Prime Minister of the
People’s Republic of China held a meeting in Bucharest, in which
participated the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama.
In this meeting they discussed about the possibility of cooperation with China, focusing on economy and trade.
The Communication Department at the Albanian government declared that the participating countries underlined that this cooperation is based on the strategic partnership between the European Union and China.
The Prime Ministers were ready to reinforce this cooperation even further, holding annual meetings between the country leaders and promoting investments in economy and trade.
Rama underlined the importance that 2014 has for the region, as the first year that found Balkan in full peace.
Rama declared that this new moment should be used to have closer cooperation with the Southeastern and Central European Countries, by increasing regional investments, especially in transport and energy.
Rama wa accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Niko Peleshi, the Minister of Economic Cooperation, Arben Ahmetaj, and Parliament Member Taulant Balla.
