Due to the cold weather that swept the country, the lessons last week took place online for 480 thousand pre-university students and 30 thousand educational staff.
As of Monday, February 22, 2021, they all returned to the previous scenario as teaching for all pre-university, public and non-public, will take place as follows: Elementary students (grades 1 – 5) in school, and students in grades 6 – 11 according to the combined scenario, online and in school.
The announcement of the Ministry of Education states that graduates will carry out their education in school, but states that “high schools located in high risk areas (Tirana, Fier, Vlora, Berat, Durres, Gjirokastra, Lezha, Lushnja, Pogradec and Kamëz) will continue “online” teaching until February 26, 2021, at the suggestion of the Technical Committee of Experts.
“It happens that we do lessons online, we repeat them when we go back to school. I’m in sixth grade. I have two days of schooling, and 3 days online. It’s better, that we also want to go out, but there’s also Covid’ s fear. At school we understand better as we are nearer the teacher, and meet our friends, we miss being with them. I could hardly wake up early today, but I will get used to it”, says a student.
