Chief Veliu announces that State Police has now taken over security at Tirana Airport

The General Chief of Police, Ardi Veliu, declared that the Albanian State Police will take over the security of the Tirana Airport.

So far, this task has been up to the private security companies.

“The police is working 24/7 and we will shed light on this robbery. We are currently increasing the security parameters at the Airport. We haven’t had the right level of cooperation by the company that is responsible for the security of the Tirana Airtpo”, Veliu said.
