CEZ, the Czech Company in Albania for the distribution of energy has no
intention to tolerate the non technical losses. The Company is
determined to continue the war against consumers who refuse to pay
the energy bills.

The actions have started a few times ago, when CEZ teams followed a plan in the problematic areas. Many people have went to court, sued by CEZ, and many others have been obliged to pay the fine and even end up in prison.

“Shqip” newspaper has secured official data from the company, which show that the Encashment and Legal Department at the CEZ Company is preparing 1500 files of debtor clients, most of which will go to court, while 400 of them are already filed.

The CEZ Team of Non-Technical Losses has filed 1313 cases at the Prosecution, 200 of which are thefts in the energy meters, and 1113 for illegal connections. The Court has ordered prison and fines for 328 cases, while 200 others are under investigation.

The Prosecution has accepted 800 cases of energy thefts and property damage, which will be soon sent at Court.

Another CEZ operation is undergoing at the Bailiff Office. There are 240 court orders, for the execution of which CEZ has asked the help of private Bailiff Offices.
