
The Democratic Party MP, Eduard Halimi, accused the government of
refusing to review the law for an internatinal investigation. He says
that CEZ has not implemented any of the conditions signed with the
Albanian government, and that’s why they should be held responsible.
He underlined that no defense strategy can start legal action without approval from the Prime Minister and his government, which, according to Halimi, is trying postpone the process with absurd alibi.
The same lines were held by MP Jozefina Topalli and the vice leader of the DP, Edmond Spaho. Topalli accused Rama of giving away 600 million EUR to the Czech company just to keep his post. Spaho considered as impossible the version that the Czech government had threatened with the candidate status.
Thge Parliament Speaker considered this a mafia style operation organized by some political segments in cooperation with some media outlets, based on falsifications. Meta considered the journalist of BIRN as irresponsible for mentioning his name, and underlined that the legal agency has never used his name for any transaction.
