The Socialist MP, Taulant Balla, declared that the 1.6 million EUR funds
that the government has given for the 100th anniversary of independence
will be used for the purchase of the equipment that the Democratic
Party will use during the electoral campaign.

“They are buying equipments that will be used for Sali Berisha’s celebration after six months of campaign, because the company that was qualified for the tender is that of Flamur Noka, the company of Klan and that of Lulzim Basha’s brother-in-law. These three companies will take the money of the celebrations. Berisha and his Ministers are offending the 100th year of independence”, declared the Socialist MP, Taulant Balla.

Balla added to this accusation that for the tender of the flags. According to the Socialist MP, the tender for decorating the entire country with Albanian flags is 9 million ALL, and no one knows where this money went.

Aldo Bumci gave no clarifications for the 1.6 million EUR fund mentioned by Balla, since according to him, the Ministry he leads has made only two tender procedures.

“The first one is related with the banners. The limited fund was 18 million ALL, and we had 6 companies competing. It was won by a company that offered half of the price. The second procedure made by the Ministry of Culture, with a fund of 6 million ALL for 50.000 decorating objects with the logo of the 100th anniversary of independence. The government has given a 15 million ALL fund to the Tirana Municipality for the decoration of the city, and 39 million ALL to the city of Vlore for repairing the Flag’s Square, to which the government has responded quickly”, Minister Bumci declared.

Balla answered by saying that for Vlore they haven’t given any money, but they even took what they had.

“We’ve entered this Parliament at the same time, but I never expected that you’d become a thief”, Balla declared.
