CEC in a stalemate as DP and RP have not appointed commissioners six days before elections

Six days before the June 25th elections, the biggest concern remains the
fact that the political parties have not sent their propositions for
their respective commissioners.

From 90 Zonal Election Administration Commissions in total in Albania, 30 have not completed the phase of appointing their commissioners, mainly in Tirana, Durres, Lezhe, Shkoder, Elbasan, Korce, Fier and Gjirokaster.

In other districts the Socialist Party has been the only one sending them, while the Democratic and Republica Parties are yet to send them.

“We are just six days before elections. CEC asked political parties to propos the names of their commission members”, said CEC Spokesperson Drilona Hoxhaj.

Albania will have 5362 Ballot Stations in total, with seven commissioners in each of them. 375000 commissioners will be engaged in total, but just a few of them have been trained, causing a stalemate at CEC just six days before elections.
