Car insurance prices increased

The car insurance prices have increased with two to three times. Agents
say that the new prices started from February 1st and are almost the
same for all companies.
Before February 1st, the insurance price for a 1600 cc vehicle was around 4500 ALL. Now it is 140.000, or three times more.
All types of insurances have increased, starting from motorbikes and to agriculture vehicles and fire engines. One year ago, the insurance prices used to be fixed between companies, with the blessing of the Ministry of Finances.
The Competition Authority intervened after a long time, and considered the agreement as illegal and opposing the competition rules. Sources from the Authority say that will see about starting an investigation in this market.
