Car concessionaries: We’re in crisis

The opposition leader, Edi Rama, continued his meetings on terrain with
the business, in order to see their problems closely and to present the
SP program “For a National Rebirth”.

Ferdinand Ibrahimi, a car concessionary at the entrance of Tirana, declared the difficulties that the car sale business is facing and why it is even more difficult for the citizens to buy a new car.

“The first trimester of 2012 had less loans and leasing for cars. Now cars can only be bought with a full immediate payment. The new car market in Albania has 10% of the entire market, while the market of used cars goes to 90%, when in Europe it’s the contrary. This causes more environmental pollution. This is a business that mounts up to 70 million EUR each year, which was an increase but now has gone to the other side. This business used to be very lucrative and now is going down”, Ibrahimi declared.

The head of the Albanian opposition expressed the vision of the Socialist party regarding big businesses.

“The big business in general, as the main generator of the national economy, will have the corruption tax removed, together with the time tax, which are two taxes that are not calculated in the official statistics, taxes that today create a burden for the business. Then we will remove the reference tax, we will increase security for business are regards crime and the entire corrupted environment that only damages businesses, and we will place the Albanian businessmen on a pedestal”, Rama declared.
